<lj:music>Default "Wasting My Time"</lj:music>

Finally hit 70,000 words. let's see if I can make it to 100,000. Still writing this monstrous story that is requiring much more attention than I intially envisioned. There are a lot of pieces missing still, but I'm trying to fill them in in the most backwards writng project that I have ever done. I intended it to be nonlinear, but now it is and I'm writing sections rather than going in chronological order. Here's a breif snippet of a battle sequence in what I'm guessing to be the last third of the book. Of course, it's unedited and I have written it just as it comes out. When the story is done, it'll get polished up.

Namir lunged towards Aeron, so she called a shadow to grab his leg to trip him. He pooled the shadows around him on the ground. Instead of falling, he sunk into the darkness. Aeron’s adrenaline pumped wildly in her system causing her heart beat to increase and making her lose focus. She fought the rage that normally came to her in these battle situations trying to think clearly. Another moment passed, Aeron knew he was toying with her hoping that she would revert to her old Demon Spawn persona. She breathed deeply and sensed the shadows around her. Walking slowly, she saw a small shadow and reached into it. She yanked him out and used the shadows to propel him out of it. He shot up in the air, but flipped and landed on his feet.

The shadows twisted around her feet, but she quickly calmed them. He shrugged unconcerned that his attempt failed. Skimming the surface of the ground, Aeron rapidly floated towards him on a sea of darkness. She aimed her kick for the ribs. He caught the kick between his elbow and knee in a cross block.

“Stupid Girl. I can break your leg now, Demon Spawn.” He brought his elbow down harder in an attempt to break the bone.
His elbow felt a hard surface like armor. He glanced down to see the shadows molded around her leg protecting her from his block. The shock was evident on his face, but he still held her leg where it was while he decided what his next move should be. Aeron did not waste any moments of hesitation. She extended the shadows around her leg to past her feet and dozens of spikes shot out to impale Namir. He let go and dropped to the ground while he clutched his gut and the blood poured between his fingers. He gasped and fear filled his eyes as he realized that these were the last moments of his life. Aeron stepped away from him and turned to where Arabella and Caedmon’s body were.

<lj:music>Days of the New "Shelf in the Room"</lj:music>

This is just irking me, so I've got to put my two cents in the pot. In all these sci-fi shows and books that I read, there are aliens and the aliens usually are under a single unifying government whether it be a democracy or dictatorship. I say usually because maybe there is a story out there that isn't like it but I haven't heard of it. Now when I say aliens, I also mean something that is not humanoid or human like for example the grey and green aliens that people typically think of.. People on this planet had different ethnicities and beliefs. Why wouldn't aliens follow suit? Just because they are aliens? They are supposed to be so different from us. Plus why would one government on Earth have interactions these aliens. If aliens do exist, I bet they would have treaties and contracts with multiple governments on Earth. That's part of my premise on the new story. The aliens have different cultural backgrounds within their planet. Different groups form different alliances with nations on Earth. Each government wonders what other countries know about the aliens. The aliens' eventual goal is to be brought into the United Nations and have full disclosure on their planet with their species. To create a united nations on their planet.

I imagine this scene in my head where the main character first sees the alien and realizes that the secret project was much more than she imagined. She stares in disbelief and then later when she on their planet, they stare at her. A sort of nice juxtaposition. Just a thought.

The Killer Kosplayer

I nearly finished the ending to the Killer Kosplayer. I'm so excited. I just need to add a few more things and tie up some plot points. I would have to say that I think it is about 75% done in terms of actually plot. It's still very rough. It just needs a few edits though. I felt inspired to finish writing the ending today after watching the movie Drillbit Taylor. Though it's kind of weird that that inspired me since it's a comedy and my story is borderline horror/ but oh well.

I'm working out descriptions for my next story. It will involve aliens. We have a teachnology exchange with them. We're using their technology to create stealth aircraft based on psionics. So it scrambles the person's brain to think that they aren't seeing anything. They are using our stealth technology from the stealth planes and to create things like radar and sonar. They don't have vocal cords since they use telepathy. THey have hearing, but it is very limited and not very good. They are going to be so cool. They don't have thumbs since they use telekineses. Anything that they want to move or put on they simply use their minds. There will be no real distinguishing aspects to the male and females. They have pouch to carry babies. The females carry babies for 5 months and then the males carry it for 5 more months. It'll have something to do with enzymes that the baby needs. I think that it should be an interesting story. I don't typically do a lot of science fiction, but that's partly because I'm not very sciency and I can't really fake that intelligence.

I've decided to title an untitled piece Alcazar's Assassin. It Isounds cool and it is exactly what the title is. I've had to revive this old story from a notebook of mine since my computer hates me and I cannot use it for an extended period of time. I'd rather being doing some type of writing than nothing. It felt so good to hold that pen in my hand and write with my horrendous penmanship. Sometimes, I like to do things the old fashioned way. So I will see how this all goes and hopefully my brother will have an idea of what to do with this fickle machine.

Basic plot line of the story. A girl uses ley line to channel magical energies and perform spells. Most people have to use incantations to focus the energy. She uses finger twitches and thus can fire off a rapid succession of spells like no one else can do. There is a horrible war and she agrees to kill the leader of the other country since he is a powerful magician that no one can get close to. The captain of a squad takes her to help stop the war. He has an older brother who is an a coma for using too many spells at once in a short time. A common fate of the magicians of both countries. So there will be fights and battles with magic and without. Hopefully, I can make it exciting.

I haven't posted in awhile. Lots of excuses. My computer is having problems again. I haven't done that much writing. I got really sick and I haven't felt like writing. It's so hard to be a creative person in the bland world that I live in. The only thing that I have been working is writing song lyrics for a con theme song. My friend is writing the music and we are working on lyrics together. Other than that I wrote some atrocious poetry that probably is better off not seeing the light of day. Sometimes I think that it sucks to be an adult with all these responsibilities, but I may find my inspiration again when summer comes around. I just want to see the sun. I want to sit outside and feel the ray's of the sun hugging me. I want to find more positive people to be around, too. Everyone is so depressed right now that it is hard to not feel negative.

Story Title changed

I did decide that I'm going to change the title after all. The Killer Cosplayer. I think that it sounds better and I renamed all the files. I have to write about four more death sequences left. Seth and Jim are going to die with equipment falling over on top of them. I think something with Jim's speakers being toppled over. Of course, I'm going to have to change their names, too and I haven't thought of their new names yet. Mace is going to die with a Ramune bottle being smashed over his head and it broken bottle being shoved into his heart and the little glass marble will be shoved up his nose or something. Lastly, will be Mallory since she is also suspected of being the Killer. The ending is still not quite meshing well. I've got about ten thousand words. I don't want to make it into a full length novel because then it will get boring. I want to keep people on the edge of their seats. It's about 33 pages double spaced. I may do some sketches of characters and the cosplay outfit and include that. Then there is what do I do with it when I'm done, but I'm more worried about finishing it first than anything else. I hope it comes out cohesive and disjointed like it is in my head.

I can't think of a good ending. I want an ending that will leave people speechless and thinking that I have a twisted mind. But it's not meshing very well. It's gotta be a spectacular ending. This sucks. I'm worried about discussing it with some friends so when they read it, it'snot given away, but I may have no other choice. I've decided that I definitely want the Killer to get away. I'm also thinking about changing the name of the story from Cosplayer Killer to Killer Cosplayer. It just sounds better. But anyways, there's the classic the sword was cursed and made me do evil things, the second the sword was cursed or so they thought, but it was just a cover. The third is that somewhere along the way a twisted lackey offers help and gets all the blame. I'm not going into the deaths too much because I don't want it to be too gruesome. That's going to turn people off. Several deaths happen off camera and the bodies are found later. I also made up the main anime series that the people are obsessed with in the story. I took it off another story that I was writing. I got to start planning the ending.

Here's the scene for the first death.

Stan left his panel early disgusted by the unintelligent questions of the kongoers. He walked out in a huff to the surprise of all attending. He also had a bowl of candy with him. It was another reason for his disgust because he asked that all the purple candies be taken out. The purple ones made him sick. He was going to find someone on staff and yell at them about his poor treatment.

Finally, he saw someone in cosplay and she had a staff badge. The cosplay character was Nyla, the main character of Fairy Wings.

“You, there! This is unacceptable! This treatment. I specifically told everyone that I would not eat any purple candies. Look at this!” He shoved the bowl under her nose. “These are purple candies. Everyone knows that you don't feed Stanford Maxwell purple candies.”

“Not my problem,” came the response in a low voice.

“It is! If you want me to continue doing panels for the rest of the weekend, you better take notes. Otherwise, I'll seriously consider not coming back next year!” He threw his tantrum wishing that he had a bigger audience than this one person.

She walked away. He threw the entire dish of candies at her. She turned slowly around in a cold smooth movement. Stan took a step back away from her. He wondered what that look in her eye meant. He moved closer to the stairs.

	“You should apologize,” She suggested.

“I don't have to apologize. This entire staff should apologize to me. I deserve better treatment. You are all a bunch of incompetent fools attempting to run a convention! You're useless!”

She continued to move forward, but he didn't step back further.

“You can't do anything to me! I'm a special guest. Many people came just to see me! Ha,” He laughed in her face. “This convention is so much better because I'm here. No one would have come if I didn't.”

Her hand shot out suddenly startling him into taking another step back. She placed it on his shoulder and he gulped a moment. He was close to the edge of the stairs. She stared into his eyes and watched the fear in his eyes feeling a power that she never felt before in her entire life. She put all her strength into her arm and into that push. He tumbled down the stairs banging his head on the railing. By the time that he reached the bottom step, he was dead.

The Horror

It's a lot harder to write this horror story than I thought. Don't get me wrong, I rather enjoy writing all these death sequences. I sort of feel like Light in Deathnote. It's trying everything, but throwing out red herrings to distract people. It's established that the killer is female. I maybe have to throw in a crosplayer to throw things off. I don't know. I don't want to shove it down the throat of the readers. I may have to distance the reader from the main character, so they might not be so sympathetic to her. Of course, it's still a work in progress. It's just under 8,000 words long. So it's an infant of a story. It's going to need major work. I don't know if I'm dedicated enough for that type of work. Caedmon Staff is coming along. It's about 55,400 words long. I didn't do any writing for a week since I was sick. But I'm working on making up for that time. My new schedule with my new job is just kicking my butt. I must focus and have discipline. Of course, the overwhelming horror right now is the fact that I may have to grow up. Not looking forward to it. Push away all the thoughts and think about my life right now. I'm not looking behind me again. I can't live like that. My work and projects is the only thing that matters now. It's gotten a little off topic, so I'll shut up now.

Here's another NebrasKon commercial that I wrote using the new lyrics that I created for "My Favorite things" It's not nearly as complicated as the last one commercial with the Husker Ninja. So it maybe more feasible to record.

Cast:

FANGIRL 1

FANGIRL 2

Scene 1- in an apartment/dorm room which has anime/ gaming memorabilia cluttered around the room. The FANGIRLS are dressed in normal clothes.

FANGIRL1: I love that anime series!
My Lacking Ability of Musicality

    <lj:music>"Otaku Picnic"</lj:music>

Well, I created the final show stopping number song in the finale of my mostly unwritten musical. I've taken another one of my favorite songs and modified it. I left some parts still in there as an homage to the original since I love it so much. I think another song that would be fun to revamp would be "You're never fully dressed without a smile" to something like "You're never fully dressed without cat ears" It would be funny. That song would have to go in the second act of my musical disaster. Why does my muse hate me to give me all these random ideas strewn loosely together. Anways. The Finale will be a "The Otaku Picnic" which is of course done to the song "The Teddy's Bear Picinic" I've edited out some parts of the song because I didn't want it to be too long.

If you go down to Lincoln today.
You're sure of a big display
If you go down to Lincoln today
You'd better go in cosplay.

For ev'ry fan that ever there was
will gather there for certain because
Today's the day the otaku have NebrasKon.
If you go down to Lincoln today
You'd better go with your all your friends
It's fun down in Lincoln todayI
So much fun, no one wants it to end
Fo ev'ry fan that ever there was
will gather there for certain because
Todays' the day, the otaku have NebrasKon
NebrasKon for Otaku
All the otaku are having a lovely time today.
Watch them, catch them unawares
As they eat their pocky at NebKon
See them gaily gad about
They love to play and shout;
They never have any care;
On Sunday their mummies and daddies,
Will take them home to bed,
Because they're tired little otaku.
If you go down to Lincoln today.
You're sure of a big display
If you go down to Lincoln today
You'd better go in cosplay.

For ev'ry fan that ever there was
will gather there for certain because

Today's the day the otaku have NebrasKon

Well apparrently, my muse will not be happy until I have the run with this insane musical idea. Stupid muse! *shakes head vigorously* I tried really hard today to get some writing done with one of my novels. I had so much trouble focusing. Partly because, I finished reading a book that I end up hating! Sadness T__T I wanted to reword songs and think of other songs that I could reword to change them into anime related songs. I am such a geek. But no mind. I've done three songs including "My Favorite THings" The show opens up with a fangirl waiting for her boxset to come in the mail. She sings "I'm waiting for my boxset" which is done to the music of "Walking on Sunshine" She watched the anime and sings "A Fangirl's Favorite things" and then wants to go out and meet other fans like herself. She encounters the Husker Ninja who tells her about Anime Nebraskon. She tries to follow him to get there and meets new people and sings a couple more sings and then NebraKon. Yay! Will the ideas ever stop in my brain? I will surely go insane with all these thoughts. Sign me up for a padded room, I think.

    <lj:music>Tori Amos "A Sorta Fairytale"</lj:music>

Well, the overall feedback from my revamped version of favorite things was pretty positive or just plain stares of people who thought I was weird which I consider as a compliment. My brain is still chugging away at all these ideas that keep coming into my head. I'm having a lot of problems focusing on a single project and I may have just made it worse. Several things, I want to finish the story the Cosplay Killer this year by May or June. Caedmon's Staff, I hope to finish by March, but it will take lots of discipline on my account. Not made easier by the fact that as of MondaY I will officially be working three jobs. Yeah, if I stop moving, I will probably die. I'm now considering rewriting "We're off to see the Wizard of Oz (Follow the Yellow Brick ROad)" into an anime version which is now turning into a possible commercial for Anime NebrasKon or working on a few more songs and create a mini- musical. My roommate wants to write a musical and wants my help with it. So I'm going to see how it all goes down and pray that I can create a quality piece. In terms of an anime musical, it won't be quality, but that will be kind of the point.

    <lj:music>A Fangirl's Favorite Things</lj:music>

I keep hearing the song "My Favorite Things" at where I work. I like singing it, but I thought that I don't like a lot of the things mentioned in the song. Wouldn't it be more meaningful to sing about things that I like? Then I took it to the fangirl aspect and created this wonderful medley. It doesn't fall beat to beat, but will stretching out some of the syllables. It works out half decently. I may try to get some people to sing it and record it. I'll have to see what I can organize.

"A Fangirl's Favorite Things"
Tear drops on faces and hello kitty.
Vegeta screams over nine thousand.
A nine tailed fox sealed in a boy
These are a few of my favorite things

Lights writes some names and Ryuk eats an apple.
Ichigo fights with the Hollows.
Kero flies with the moon on his wings.
These are a few of my favorite things

Girls in sailor suits fighting for love.
Lain wearing her bear pajamas.
Bishies with flowing white hair.
These are a few of my favorite things

When the spoiler comes
When the cosplay sucks
When I'm feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don't feel so bad

    <lj:music>The Birthday Massacre "Play Dead"</lj:music>

I have just finished up the craziest month of my life. I hope that I won't have to deal with all of that again in a single month. On the upside I survived. I have spent the last several days catching up on my much needed sleep. I am ready refocus and commit to writing again. I wrote this little poem. It's called "Disconnected"

Never would I have thought that
you would be the one to leave.
I watched you pack and go
When you decided to fly away,
I made the decision to stay.
I became a tree
Planted my roots
You were a bird soaring high.

Will there ever be a day that I won't look back
wondering why
I never knew how much that you hated this place
until you left
In a new place now, my heart is sick
Nothing is familiar
Your presence doesn't touch this place at all
An ache of sadness squeezes my heart.
Dis
connec
ted
from you.

It's a sort of left over feeling that I got onmy birthday a couple weeks ago. But I'm moving past that since I can't keep looking over my shoulder. In honor of Halloween, I will attempt to write a horror story. I got inspired by all the crazies that I know and a little bit of wishful thinking. It'll be centered around an anime convention. I've never done horror or mystery before. But I had been reading some James Patterson. I might be able to pull it off.

It was a good feeling. Since I needed a little cheering up, I thought that I would resurrect it..

(Picks up phone) Customer Service, how may I help you?
So I finally finished the rough draft to The Nephilim. I'm going to give it a run through and then post it in its entirety. Caedmon' s Staff is now 51,032 words long. Yay! I passed the 50 thousand word mark. That's very exciting! It really doesn't matter how many words a novel is because the only thing that matters is that it is good. Which may or may not be the case in this. But the only way that I will get better is if I keep writing. Many people don't even the discipline to write a single novel. So I can feel proud of myself in that respect. Sometimes, I think that it won't matter if I get published or not. I just love to write and write. The ideas that float in my head can't be stopped.
